Garden Tag Card by Diana Swensen
Materials Needed
  8 ½” x 11” light brown and ivory cardstock
  Fiskars Yellow striped vellum
  Fiskars Gold paint maker
  Fiskars ShapeCutter™
  Fiskars Tag ShapeTemplate™
  Fiskars ¼” hand punch
  Color Box ink, sunflower, ochre, stucco, merlot, and roussillion
  Tsukineko’s Versa mark and gold Encore ink pads
  Ranger’s Big and Juicy “Hydrangea” ink pad
  Black inkpad
  Xacto knife
  Small gold eyelets
  Various yarns, threads to match card design
  Rubber stamps - daisy, dragonfly, word stamp
  Sponge stylus
 
Instructions
  1. Cut brown cardstock to 5 ½” x 11” and fold in half to form card.
  2. Using the dragonfly stamp and the Versa mark pad, stamp dragonflies, randomly onto the front of the card.
  3. Edge the card with a gold paint pen.
  4. Cut a strip of vellum 4 ¼” x 3 ½”.
  5. Tear vellum from top left corner to right side, just below the right upper corner. See card sample.
  6. Adhere vellum to front of card with small gold eyelets.
  7. Using the ShapeCutter™ and tag template, cut “Jumbo” tag out of ivory cardstock.
  8. Using the ¼” hand punch, punch a hole in the center top of tag.
  9. Stamp daisy with “Big and Juicy” inkpad, the dragonfly with gold Encore ink and the word stamp with black ink.
  10. Sponge autumn colored Color Box inks onto tag with sponge stylus. This technique is called direct to paper.
  11. Add yarn and threads to the tag for decoration. Slip tag between card and vellum.
  12. Stamp dragonfly onto ivory cardstock and emboss.
  13. Cut out dragonfly design with a Xacto knife and adhere to bottom left of card.
