DMD Cardstock – Black, Blue & White
Instructions:
Bouncing Butterflies
Start with black cardstock as a base. Trim 3” section off of C’est Deco Die Cut and adhere to left side of page as shown.
Trim 1x12” strip of green section of Tres Swirls paper and adhere over C’est Decco Die Cut as shown.
Cut piece of blue cardstock 8x10”. Cut top right corner in a diagonal fashion as shown allowing black to show through from beneath. Adhere to page. Use small Elegant Flourish Stamp and white ink to stamp black corner as shown.
Cut 2 pieces of C’est Magnifique (1) 4x10” (2)4x12”. Set (2) aside for use on second page. Adhere (1) to bottom of page as shown, aligning bottom and right edges.
Silhouette cut the leaf and vine section of Tres Swirls paper and adhere to page as shown.
Adhere twill strip as shown.
Create trail pattern for the butterflies by stamping Elegant Flourishes across the pages starting in the bottom left corner and moving across and up the page, ending in the center right area. Add additional swirl to the top left photo corner area.
To create butterflies first stamp butterfly directly onto page. Next stamp butterfly two more times onto patterned paper of choice. Silhouette cut out the butterflies. You do not need to cut out the antennae as she will show through from the base. Adhere one cut out butterfly directly over the base butterfly stamped onto the layout. Fold the remaining cut butterfly in half and adhere over the previous butterfly placing adhesive only on the fold. This will allow the wings to pop up off of the page, creating a look as if they are about to fly from the layout. If desired, you may add pop dots beneath the wings or small pieces of rolled paper to keep the dimension.
Stamp “All things grow with love” onto chipboard journaling panel of choice and adhere to layout as shown.
