Folded Flower Card

Materials Needed:
  • Paper Pizazz® Yellow With Dots and Blue Gingham With Border paper
  • Paper Pizazz® Fold-Back Swirls Template
  • Citrus Embellish-abilities™
  • Cardmaker’s™ Citrus Ribbon Pack
  • 5" x 6 1/2" blank white card
  • Craft knife, cutting mat
  • Blue decorating chalk
  • Zots™

Instructions:
  1. Cut the border from the blue gingham paper including the blue and green plaid portion, the yellow ribbon fragment, and one row of blue checks. Cut a 5" x 6 1/2" rectangle of blue checks paper. Tear the top of a 5" x 1" strip from the yellow with dots paper and glue across the blue checks paper, with the torn edge about 1 1/2" from the bottom, leaving the torn edge loose. Glue the plaid border even with the bottom of the checked rectangle and trim the excess.

  2. Use the template to trace and cut out the double petal swirl flower. Fold according to the template instructions, then chalk the edges blue. Cut a 3" length of ribbon, and glue vertically to the center of the checked rectangle, tucking the bottom of it under the edge of the torn yellow with dots paper. Attach the folded flower over the top end of the ribbon with the yellow brad. Flatten the prongs on the back and glue the checked rectangle to the card front.

  3. Tie a bow with the remaining ribbon and attach to the ribbon "stem" with a Zot™. Chalk the outer edges of the card.
