Instructions:
  1. Open 12x12 size blank document in Adobe Photoshop, or Photoshop elements
  2. Open and pull in a frame (I used one of the frames by IOD from the Silhouettes Gem Frames pack in “Fleurish”, found at www.primahybrid.com .
  3. Pull in your photos. At this point I used an action to ink my photos and the edge of my white canvas. I found the inking action at www.atomiccupcake.com , you can also use one of your Photoshop brushed to accomplish this, or leave your photos and edges as they are.
  4. Break up your frame using the rectangle elliptical tool and your move tool found in your Photoshop toolbox, pulling the upper left corner of the frame above your upper right photo.
  5. Open up your alpha and pull in your desired title. I used the hybrid Silhouette alpha created by IOD called “Fleurishing” and found at www.primahybrid.com .
  6. I colorized the frame and alpha by first making sure I had my foreground color in my chosen color then selecting the layer that the frame and alpha were on ( I did these one at a time), load selection, new layer, paint bucket tool. Then either discard, or make invisible your original layer. You can also press Control/U to change the hue/saturation in changing the color of your layer.
  7. To make my alpha look “chalked” I used a soft edges brush on a separate layer under my alpha.
  8. Add your journaling
  9. Voila! Your digital portion is finished. I printed mine on my Epson R1800 large format printer. For hybrid scrapbooking I strongly recommend buying one of these. You can find the details on how to purchase one at www.epson.com .
  10. Because the digital products we used were specifically created in the new Prima Hybrid concept, they are made to be paired with physical embellishments which makes the next step extremely fun and easy….
  11. Simply place your embellishments in the spots designated in your digital alpha and frame. My digital frame and alpha stamps are made to be paired with the IOD times alpha and the Say it in Crystals Center Kisses Gems by Prima and found at your local scrapbook store!
