Instructions
Using two variations of the same technique, you can stamp a light or dark image onto the border. For the first technique and a lighter image, ink your small shadow stamp and then take a leaf stamp and without inking it, stamp it onto the shadow stamp. Then stamp onto paper. This will leave a light stamped image in the center. For the darker image technique, ink the shadow stamp and ink the leaf stamp before stamping onto the shadow stamp. For a textured look to your shadow stamp, slide the stamp across the inkpad and then stamp
  1. For this frame, stamp 9 light and 9 dark images onto cream paper using the small shadow stamp. Once the ink is dry, cut out the images using scissors and leaving a slight border around the shadow stamp. Freehand cut with a slight wave for a rustic look.
  2. Adhere stamped images on yellow cardstock in a border around photo. Rustic cut outside edge of yellow paper and layer onto green cardstock and then cream, rustic cutting each edge with scissors.
  3. To create the title and journaling border, ink large shadow stamp and stamp image onto cream paper 10 times. Cut out squares in rustic cut and adhere across the top and bottom of burgundy background paper, slightly overlapping squares to form a diamond-shaped “chain” across the page. For the title, write out the title with a bold tip pen and then cut out the letters leaving a slight border around each one. Adhere to top row of squares.
  4. To make the photo stand out adhere foam dots to the back edge of the border frame and adhere to page.
