Quilted
Page By Julie McGuffee
Scrapbooking is known as the “quilting

and techniques on our pages! Making perfect angles is a snap with

Remember to choose colors of paper and embellishments
that complement your photographs. Colors chosen here reflect the
colors and theme of my photographs, but may not be the best color
choices for yours.
Instructions
1.
Cut two sheets of 8.5” x 11” into 4 pieces
(5.5” x 4.25”). You will need 6 of these. Place the
angle template into the slots on the paper trimmer. Place one rectangle
at a time onto the trimmer aligning the short edge along the 60
degree line. The tip will be at the top of the trimmer. (See photo.)
Cut then repeat with the other side of the rectangle so you will
have two triangles. You will need 12 of these to complete the project
as shown. Set aside.
2.
Mat the photograph by gluing to the dark green paper.
Trim the paper to within 1/4” of the edge of the photograph.
Cut a 6” x 11” piece of dark green paper then cut in
half crossways. Glue to the center of the 12” x 12”
background paper aligning the edges at the top and bottom.
3.
Use the border punch to decorate the short edge of
each triangle. Mark the center of the background paper then arrange
the triangles in place with the point at the center. Triangles can
be arranged in a pinwheel fashion as shown or arranged in pairs
as kites. Glue in place.
4.
To finish, glue the photograph to the center of the
page. Embellish with strips of dark green and burgundy paper as
shown, the buttons and sticker caption.
