Sometimes, you just need to put together
a quick page and can’t spend a lot of time on it. It’s
getting easier and easier to do that, especially if you rely on
digital technology now and then for help!
OK, you’ve got the urge to put together some pages in a
hurry. No time to waste, no major embellishments, just a few quick
layouts . . . but you’ve got a digital camera full of photos
and you want them to turn into instant layouts with no further
delay. What can you do?
First you need to get the photos out of your camera and turned
into prints in the fastest way possible. The way to do that is
to quickly print them out onto 4x6” paper with a device
like a PictureMate. You don’t even need to connect it to
a computer. In just a few moments, once you put your flash card
into the slot and press print, you’ll have an index print
of all the photos on your card. Look it over, and pick which ones
will make it to your layout. Print the photos you want to use
into 4”x6” size, and you’re halfway there.
Next, you can just as quickly print out your page background,
thanks to the printlabseries.com website. From that site, you
can download instant and free pages that are just waiting for
your photos. These pages are in Word, so almost everyone already
has access to this program and knows how to use it.
Once you have the page on your screen, you can customize it by
typing in a header or a caption. Note that there are pages in
both letter and 12x12 size on the website. So you will need to
use your computer to get and to print the pages. You can print
letter size pages on a regular printer, but will need a wide format
printer, to print 12x12 size. Once you do, all you need to add
are your photos, and you are done!
So you can impress your friends with digital pages even if you’re
not a whiz yet with complicated software programs. It doesn’t
get much easier than this! Put together an entire album in one
afternoon! |
