Instructions
1.
Cut multiple 11/4" squares from different
colors of patterned paper. Arrange in a grid pattern along the
edges of each page of the layout, leaving some open spaces to
add chipboard accents later.
2.
Use a personal die cut tool to cut letters from thin
chipboard. Paint the letters white and allow to dry, lightly sand
to give the letters a distressed look and add a coat of clear gloss
to seal. Use precut chipboard circles to create the colored tokens.
Paint in coordinating colors and allow to dry. Add rub-on words
and seal with clear gloss. Attach two tokens to the left page as
part of the patterned paper grid.
3.
Mat the main photo with coordinating card stock and
trim, leaving a thick border along the right side of the image.
Mat two horizontal photos together, splicing one image where the
page break lands. Leave a thick margin along the right edge to add
a date with stickers.
4.
Adhere the mounted horizontal photos along the bottom
edge as shown. Add a vertical photo in the open space above. Add
a journaling block, using a word-processing program to leave a hole
in the text to add one of your finished chipboard accents.
