Scrapbook
Cookbook by Beth Pugh |
Instructions |
|
|
Here
are some tips for a favorite family recipes scrapbook. |
|
1. |
Gather recipes from family. Maybe it’s
your mom’s stuffing and your grandmother’s apple pie
– ask for the recipes that get a lot of attention at family
get togethers. |
|
2. |
Decide how to divide your album. You
can do a traditional cookbook by dividing up the album into Appetizers,
Soups, Main Dishes, and Desserts. Or you can divide the cookbook
up by person. In this scenario all of your mom’s recipes are
together, all of your uncle’s favorite recipes are together
etc., etc., etc. |
|
3. |
Select a different color for each section
of the cookbook. For example, all appetizers are in red, all main
dishes are in blue. Or all of your mom’s recipes are red,
all of your brother’s are green. |
|
4. |
Type up each recipe and print on a white
cardstock. |
|
5. |
Matte with the different colored paper. |
|
6. |
Add pictures. Try to find pictures of the people who
sent you the recipes –actually cooking! If your dad is great
with the grill then use a picture of him grilling along with his
recipe for his favorite marinade. If you don’t have doubles
of the pictures be sure to make copies at a picture kiosk and use
those in your cookbook. |
|
7. |
Last, pick out a durable scrapbook album. Theses albums
will be used and probably in a kitchen while cooking. You may want
to find an album that can be wiped clean. |
