• 1 ½ yds of Lavender Gros Grain Ribbon – 5/8” and 3/8”

1.  Using the X-ACTO knife and metal edge ruler, cut two, 12” x 12” pieces of black foam board. Glue together with tacky glue.  Set aside to dry.  TIP:  Use foam brush to spread glue. Make sure to spread glue along the outside edges.

2.  Lightly sand the edges of the foam board if necessary.  Use Fabric glue to adhere the ribbon around the edge of the foam board.  Hold ends in place with a quilt pin until dry.

3.  Spray back of lace paper with spray adhesive then adhere to front of foam board.

4.  Use glue stick to adhere lavender cardstock to center of lace paper.

5.  Cut additional piece of foam board, 7 ½” x 7 ½” for photo mat. Use glue stick to adhere 7” x 7” photo to center.  Cut about 10” of 3/8” ribbon, then place across front of photo about 1” from bottom edge.  Secure ends of ribbon at the back of foam board with fabric and paper glue.  Adhere to center of lavender cardstock with tacky glue.  Embellish ribbon with flower.

6.  Adhere the metal tabs to the back of the wall hanging with Stix All.  Glue additional flower to a thumbtack for decorative hanger if desired.

NOTE:  When working with a variety of materials, it is important to choose the right adhesive. Always check the information on the label.

Trio Wall Hanging

1.  Cut six, 4” x 4” pieces of foam board and three, 3 ½” x 3 ½” pieces of lavender card stock.  Adhere cardstock to center of three of the pieces of foam board.

2.  Cut two, 24” strips of ribbon. Align remaining 3 pieces of foam board on flat surface about 1” apart.  Use fabric and paper glue to adhere strips of ribbon over the top of all three pieces, about 1” from left and right outside edges.  You will need to extend about 3” of ribbon at the bottom for tails. (See photo.)   Loop top ends over then secure with glue, or brad.

3.  To create an even black border around 3” x 3” photos, cut with Painters Color Cutter.  Adhere photos to lavender card stock with glue stick. 

4.  Recycle the foam brush handle by painting with the black marker.  Place through ribbon loops then use to hang photos.

Don’t forget to choose colors of card stock, ribbon and flower embellishments that coordinate with your wedding colors.
