Materials Needed:

• Kaleidoscope Collections: Kaleidoscope Kreator™ 2.0 or 3
• Digital or scanned photo
• PC with inkjet printer
• Transparency film for inkjets
• 8.5” x 5.5” white (or light) cardstock (for card base)
• 4” x 5.25” dark cardstock (to contrast with colors in photo)
• 3.75” x 5” light cardstock (to coordinate with colors in photo)
• “Thank you” stamp (or other saying)
• VersaMark watermark ink
• Clear embossing powder
• Craft knife and straight edge
• Permanent (flat) adhesive
• Foam adhesive

Instructions:

Open digital photo in Kaleidoscope Kreator (File>Open Image). Click on the wedge button in the toolbar to choose one of the square template shapes. Move the photo around in the workspace to create a kaleidoscope design to your liking.

File>Print Kaleidoscope. Enter 2.625” in the inches field. Uncheck all of the other boxes and then click OK.

In the printer dialog that appears next, choose your printer and set it for inkjet transparencies. Make sure inkjet transparency film is in your printer. Click OK to print. Let set for a few minutes to dry completely.

Cut out the square kaleidoscope leaving about 3/8” of extra transparency around the kaleidoscope.

Cut a 2-3/8” square opening in the dark (4” x 5.25”) cardstock using the craft knife and straight edge.

Use the square opening just cut as a template for the light (3.75” x 5”) cardstock, except make the square opening slightly larger, 2-5/8”.

Stamp saying below cut-out square on light (3.75” x 5”) cardstock.  Emboss with clear embossing powder.

Use permanent adhesive to adhere light (smaller) cardstock on top of dark (larger) cardstock.  Then adhere kaleidoscope printed on transparency to the back of the dark (larger) cardstock so that it is centered in the square “window”.

Fold white cardstock in half to form card base, then apply kaleidoscope window to front with foam adhesive.
