but they may not be yours.
Instructions
1.
Mat the photograph and a journaling block first with
vellum, trimmed with deckle paper edgers, then with lavender cardstock.
Make two holes about 3/4” apart at the top center of the photo
mat and the journaling block. Thread the nylon/satin ribbon through
the holes to embellish each one. Apply adhesive.
2.
Apply adhesive to the wide satin ribbon and two,
13” lengths of the nylon/satin ribbon. Referring to the photograph
of the project for placement, arrange then place the strips of ribbon,
matted photo and matted journaling block on the background paper.
3.
Cut three, 2.5” squares of white cardstock.
Using a ruler and pencil, make marks 1/8” apart around the
edge. Use the hand punch to make holes at each pencil mark. Thread
the needle with the 1/8” ribbon and use an overhand stitch
to sew around the edge of each square.
4.
Adhere a silk ribbon to the center of each square.
5.
Optional:
Make or sew your own ribbon roses using techniques found in many
simple to follow needlework books. Always remember to make the holes
in the paper first before beginning your sewing stitches.
