Remember to choose colors of paper and embellishments
that compliment your photographs. Colors and shapes chosen here
reflect the colors and theme in my photographs, but may not be the
best choices for yours. These techniques can be used with any shapes
you may need to use. |
Instructions |
|
1. |
Apply adhesive to the photograph(s). Glue to orange
cardstock to mat then trim around the photograph with the paper
trimmer leaving a narrow border. |
|
2. |
Add a title to a digital photograph on your computer
then print. Trim to same length as your scrapbook page and about
2” wide. |
|
3. |
Lay the tan cardstock on top of the bark texture plate
then color over the top of the paper with the brown memory pencil
to produce the design. Color an area large enough for three tree
trunks. Place the green paper on the other side of the texture plate
and rub the surface firmly with the stylus to produce a raised leaf
and flower pattern. |
|
4. |
Use the shape cutter and template to cut the tree
trunks from the colored tan paper and the palm fronds from the green
paper. Using a cotton ball, lightly dust the raised design on the
palm fronds with light yellow, or light green chalk. Punch a large
sun shape and a small sun shape from yellow cardstock. |
|
5. |
Apply adhesive to the matted photographs, punched
shapes, photo border, punched suns and tree trunks. Using the project
photo as a guide, arrange then place the above pieces on your scrapbook
page. Attach the palm fronds to the top of the tree trunks with
foam dots. |
|
6. |
Use the paper trimmer to cut a 1/8” wide strip
from one side of the background paper. Coil, then glue to the center
of the sun. Add the sunglasses sticker to the sun, the flip-flops
to the photo border and the small sun punch to the border if desired. |
