Note: When choosing papers for your layout, look for colors and styles that complement the photograph and theme and for solid colors to coordinate with the background paper.
Instructions
1.
Mat the photograph with white cardstock ¼” wider and longer than the photo.
2.
Cut the 8” x 8” piece of yellow cardstock in half. Cut one strip into two with the 4” circle template and shape cutter about 3” from one end.. Adhere these two picess to the top and bottom of the blue cardstock as shown.

Paint the back of the ink jet transparency with white acrylic paint. Let dry then cut three flower shapes with the shape cutter and a 1 ½” circle with the scalloped scissors.

Shade the center of each of the flowers with blue glimmer chalk and the circle with orange. Shade on the unpainted side. Stack the flowers together then punch a hole at the center. Secure with a brad then spread the flowers so the petals are staggered. Adhere the orange center piece over the brad with a foam square or circle.
5.
Print journaling on self adhesive ink jet transparency then adhere to the remaining yellow strip.
6.
Create the title using a personal photograph and Photoshop Elements. Print onto ink jet transparency then attach to page with brads. (Colored ink jet transparency sheets can also be purchased from Bluegrass Publishing.)
7.
Punch additional wording onto lt. green strips. Trim, then mat with white cardstock.
Referring to the photograph, assemble the pieces to create the page.
