Instructions
1.
Tape the tree stencil onto the dark colored card stock. Tape out all of the edges with removable tape to keep the paste from smearing onto the edges of the paper. Now paste emboss using the gold embossing paste. Have water handy so that the stencil can be removed and cleaned right away.
2.
In approximately 45-60 minutes, the paste will be dry. Reposition the clean stencil back on the pasted design and stencil with the ½” stencil brush, using the glue from the Stamp and Stick inkpad.
3.
Dry the glue by heating it with a heat gun for about half a minute. Keep the heat gun in motion so that the paste will not bubble. After letting it cool for a few seconds, test it with your finger. It should attach to your finger or feel dry. This step is the most crucial for success. You don’t want it to be slick or gummy feeling,. If this occurs, you need to dry it more until it is attaching to your finger or is actually dry feeling to the touch.
4.
Place the gold embossed card onto the open file folder. Lay the red leafing gently on top of the gold pasted tree design and tap it on with your finger or a ¾” stencil brush.
5.
Burnish the red leafing with the same ¾” stencil brush and don’t be afraid to brush hard, because this process will remove all the little ragged edges of the excess gold leafing around the embossed edges. Tip the excess pieces in the file folder into a container for your leftover pieces. These can be used again.
6.
Mount this card front onto a contrasting slightly larger card stock using double stick mounting tape to finish your project.
